HealthHIV, HealthHCV, and the National Coalition for LGBTQ Health issue a call for abstracts for original research, innovative projects and/or novel programs related to HIV, HCV, STI, and LGBTQ health to be considered for presentation at the SYNChronicity 2025 national conference. Showcase your work at this dynamic and distinct conference featuring a diverse and expansive healthcare and public health audience.
SYNC 2025 will focus on SYNCing to end the epidemics by driving discussion and strategy development around the innovation and implementation necessary to make an impact. Your participation and organizational representation at SYNC 2025 are crucial to the conversation and your abstracts are vital to informing the conference agenda.
Abstract submissions can be a description of work in progress with anticipated outcomes. Abstracts SYNCing original research, innovative projects, and/or novel programs related to HIV, HCV, STIs, harm reduction, and/or LGBTQ health will be considered for presentation.
We are especially interested in receiving abstracts that explore the intersection of two or more of these topics/disciplines and their impact on health equity and minority and underserved communities, as well as approaches that SYNChronize efforts to address this impact. Abstracts can highlight education, programs, practice innovations, policy, or research.
An oral presentation is a 20 - 60 minute presentation (20 minute selections are most likely) that describes a program innovation, emerging issue, clinical challenge, or findings from a research project or quality improvement initiative, best practices, innovative tool, and/or approach to a topic. Individual submissions will be grouped with others that reflect a common topic/theme. Presenters submitting for this type of session may include slide presentations, brief videos, group exercises, and/or focused discussions on a topic. Creative formats outside of traditional lecture/Q&A patterns are welcomed. Presenter Maximum: Two (2)
Posters offer a succinct view of program and practices, policy issues, or research analysis. Posters will remain available for viewing throughout the conference, if possible. Presenters should be with their posters during their scheduled viewings. Specific guidelines for printing the poster will be provided upon acceptance. Presenter Maximum: Two (2)
Podcasts offer a succinct view of program and practices, policy issues, or research analysis. Podcasts will be accepted for both in person and virtual audio presentation. Presenter Maximum: Two (2)
Abstract authors must indicate a preference for one of the formats above and conference organizers will determine the final composition of each session.
